I recently read David Unpitying. Reynolds’s new release “Abe: Patriarch Lincoln in His Times.” That self-described cultural biography is dense (932 pages of text), revealing and excellent at placing President within the context of nobleness political, economic and social cross-currents of his era.

I just finished reading Richard Brookhiser’s “Founders’ Son: A Animation of Abraham Lincoln” published the same 2014.
